Day 25. Beautiful .

Beautiful day to head out and about. Caught up with Paddy. Not much has changed there went to check out our favourite store Sassy Sue but she was closed. Maybe tomorrow nearly there only a few kilometres to go.

Day 21,22,23,24

What a last few days. Fun , celebrations , wins and tough times. Keep pushing and the goals so close .

Day 20

2 nd numbers board is halfway so time to deposit then second $250 into my fundraiser but as tomorrow is double fundraising day I’ll do it then. 250 becomes 500.. one way to increase your donations.

Day 19 sad day

Today a close friend lost her son. A beautiful young Man with his whole life ahead.  Walking helped clear the air for me. Not a day for photos. Not a day for sunshine. Not a day for Smiles. Let’s hope that raising money for the RFDS will help somebody out there who needs it.

Oct 17/18/19

Super busy weekend and forgot to take pics . Today was the big draw for lucky numbers . Congrats to Leonie .

Day 15

Squeezing in the steps wherever I could today . Bfast cook up for pink ribbon 🎀 ment early start but well worth it . Only a handful of numbers left on the first board so hope to draw that on the weekend

Day 14 .. keeping up the pace

So far so good. Still splitting up the walking morning and afternoon sessions. Leaves time in the day for work and some down time. Early nights help .

Day 13 .

Approaching the halfway mark and feeling the heat. Donations have stalled but we will keep pushing. Also organising pink ribbon day at work so the ks are racking up .

Day 12 Goldfields sunsets

🐾 Tonight’s walk took us around the lovely new spaces out near the airport, with Nessie leading the way as usual! 🐶💕 What a beautiful evening to be out walking. We were treated to a gorgeous Goldfields sunset while waiting for the plane. Another day, another walk, all for a wonderful cause.

Day 11 a glorious day

Today was a beautiful day to go for a long walk and then head up for the spring festival in Hammond Park then having to walk off the Portuguese tarts that were delicious. Might not get so many ks in tomorrow

Day 10

Lovely day for getting out and about but breakfast and shopping ment a late walk and more treadmill time tonight. Still keeping up with daily goals

Day 8 ( yesterday)

A slightly less ks day but a very busy busy day everywhere else. Still have a few tickets to sell in the lucky numbers but hopefully we push those through. Money went in on the double donation day so that’s fantastic.

Captains log .. day 7

Started the day very slow was raining when I got up so a couple of k’s on the treadmill Then off to work. Busy day nice dinner with the family early so came home and thought I’d better do some more too windy to go for a walk too dark to be on my own. So back on the treadmill. I think I deserve desert..

Day six . No sleeping for me🫨

Today was supposed to be a bit of a sleep-in daywell, at least until 6:30am 😂 Yet here I am, having already been up for an hour and now taking a quick break from the halfway Mark on treadmill. I have to admit though, I’m glad I didn’t sleep in asthe early start really is such a good way to begin the day. 😊 The dogs however, has a lot to answer for when it comes to getting me out of bed this early! 🐶😂 I may need a little more motivation tomorrow, so keep the encouragement coming. And don’t forget TODAY IS DOUBLE DONATION DAY! 💙 If you’ve been thinking about donating to my RFDS Oceans to Outback page, today is the perfect day because your donation could be DOUBLED. Live @ 8.00am Western Australia time 11am daylight savings Eastern standard time. Every dollar helps keep the Doctor Flying.

Day 5… buns are burning 🔥

Wow, Day five and the buns are burning but super excited that I’ve kept up the kms even though most of it on the treddy. And I did forget to turn on my live tracking so that was pretty crappy but anyway. Excited for tomorrow’s double donation day bring it on hopefully people donate. Cheers.

Day 4 . Kicked off Facebook account hacked.

Did another 6 km this evening on the treadmill . Totally annoyed because I forgot to turn my tracker on when I walked as well as being hacked on Facebook. Anger is a great motivation.

Day 4 morning challenge.

First walk of the day on the treadmill 7 + ks pre brunch for #1 sons bday . A beautiful day for a walk with the doggie later . Even dug out the gold class shirt . 🌻🌻

Day 3 part 2

Another 6 ks today on the treddy. The support on the oceans to outback pagenos so amazing . It gives me energy to keep pushing forward .

Day three. Still walking.

Day three. Smashed out 6K this morning with puppy worked out a couple of laps around some places for a beautiful view. A lovely cool morning today. We’ll head out for a well-deserved coffee later. The housework can wait. Thanks to everybody who tooted hopefully you can turn those toots into donations. See you on day four.

Day 1

Day one on the treadmill. I figure if I can add some serious ks in the morning ( 6 ks is pretty serious for me ) before work I can enjoy a nice afternoon walk after work . Enjoy your journey everyone and let’s raise some seriously great money for the RFDS . And improve your health while we are at it .

I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year
I’ve helped provide...

Laryngoscopes image

58

Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.

Life-saving medical chests image

36
