Why I'm running
I'm running this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.
Donate now >>I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge and raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service along the way! 🏃♂️
I love having a fitness goal to work towards and thought this would be a great way to challenge myself while also raising money for a good cause.
Having lived and worked in Australia, including working in healthcare and spending time working rurally, I’ve also seen just how vast this country is and the challenges that come with providing services to remote communities.
So, for the month of October I’ll be getting the kilometres in and seeing just how far I can push myself! If I can raise some money for the RFDS while I’m at it, even better.
Any donations or shares would be hugely appreciated — and hopefully knowing people have sponsored me will stop me finding excuses to skip a run 😅
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
2
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
1
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
1
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
