I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
The RFDS played a pretty significant role in our lives a few years back. Our 2.5 year old daughter at the time had an accident in Port Hedland, and needed emergency medical attention in Perth. Before that day, I thought of them as just another charity, a good cause where you might throw a few bucks in the tin at the shops or grab a fundraising ticket, and that was about it. But the day we needed them, NOTHING in the world was more important.
So as part of my Ironman training, I’m going to clock up at least 250km on the trotters. If you’re in a position to help and would like to chip in, it’ll make a huge difference to families across Australia, families like ours, who do not yet realise how much this organisation will one day mean to them.
