I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

This October, my sister and I are walking 100km to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service ✈️👣

Living around 6 hours away from major hospitals, the RFDS is one of those services you hope you never need — but when you do, you’re incredibly grateful they’re there.

Our family has needed the RFDS a few times over the years, but the most memorable was about a year ago when my sister quite literally fell into a fire 🔥😅

She ended up needing to be flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Burns Unit for specialist treatment, and the RFDS helped make that happen.

Thankfully she recovered, and enough time has passed that we can now laugh about how completely ridiculous the sentence “my sister fell into a fire” sounds 😂

So naturally, our team name had to be…

SHE FELL, THEY FLEW ✈️🔥

We’re taking on 100km this October as a way of giving back to the service that has helped our family and so many other rural and remote families when distance makes accessing medical care that much harder.

If you’d like to donate, share our fundraiser or even just cheer us on while our legs slowly regret this decision, we’d appreciate it more than you know 😂❤️
