I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Living in Margaret River, I’m lucky to be surrounded by beautiful places to get outside and run — although I have to admit, running has slipped down the priority list a little over the past few years.

So I’ve decided to use the RFDS Oceans to Outback challenge this October as the perfect opportunity to get me back out there. What better motivation?

I’ve committed to running at least 80 km during the month, while raising awareness and funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the important work they do for people living across rural and regional Australia.

It feels like a particularly relevant cause living and working in regional WA, where we know how important access to medical care can be when distances are involved.

The new running shoes are already on their way in the post, so there really is no excuse now.

I’ll keep you posted with my runs throughout October — hopefully the legs remember what they’re doing fairly quickly.
