Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

Last year, while working in the remote Kimberley and helping showcase our incredible coastlines, I became extremely unwell with a serious infection in my leg.
Being so remote, access to medical care was limited, and without the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the outcome could have been very different. I may have lost my leg — or even my life.
Working at sea, we regularly find ourselves in situations where illness or injury can happen with no hospital nearby. The RFDS is there when we need them most. With just a phone call, they can advise and guide crew through treatment using the RFDS medical chests on board, and in more serious situations, coordinate medical assistance and meet us at the closest accessible location.
You never truly appreciate the importance of a service like this until you experience it yourself.
That’s why this year I’m fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, to help keep these incredible people doing what they do best and ensure they’re there for the next person who needs them.
If you’re able to support my fundraiser, every contribution will help keep this lifesaving service flying. ❤️✈️
So far this year
