Why I'm walking
I'm walking this October to save lives and help more Australians access essential healthcare.

Having had the privilege of working alongside the RFDS throughout my rural and remote nursing experience, I have seen firsthand just how essential their service is to these communities.
Whether receiving a patient transfer or relying on the RFDS to transport a critically unwell or unstable patient to a higher level of care, their support is invaluable. For those living and working in rural and remote Australia, the RFDS truly is a lifeline.
Continued fundraising and community support are vital in helping the RFDS continue providing their incredible service across Australia.
Their care also extends beyond their patients. The RFDS team regularly provide thoughtful care packages to the healthcare staff working in remote communities. These small gestures mean more than they probably realise and never go unappreciated.
I’m incredibly proud to support this fundraiser and help give back to a service that gives so much to rural and remote Australia.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!
