Sheen Takes on Oceans to Outback for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
This October, 10 members of the Sheen team are lacing up, hopping on their bikes, and hitting the pavement for a cause that matters deeply to communities across regional and remote Australia.
Our team has joined the Royal Flying Doctor Service's Oceans to Outback Challenge, a month-long fundraising event that sees participants run, walk, or cycle their way toward a shared goal, all while raising vital funds for one of Australia's most important healthcare services.
The Sheen team has set an ambitious target: to collectively cover 1,000 kilometres and raise $5,000 for the RFDS. Whether it's an early morning run before work, a lunchtime walk, or a weekend bike ride, every kilometre logged by our team brings us closer to the finish line, and helps fund a service that quite literally saves lives.
Sheen Panel Service has a long history of giving back to our community through the Sheen Community Fund, which is engrained into our business and our staff. Since 1987, we've raised $5.8 million in charitable funds, all with the goal of assisting families and children in need. That's exactly why the Royal Flying Doctor Service is such a perfect match, helping kids and families across rural Victoria and Australia receive the urgent care they need, when they need it most.
Get behind the Sheen team as we take on this challenge for a cause close to our hearts. Follow our progress throughout October, and help us reach our $5,000 goal by donating through the link below.
We're fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
This October, we're taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, we hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to our challenge today!

Go team! What a great initiative to get around.
