Needed a heat break!

I needed a break from the heat and I clocked 3km this on foot this morning before work. I swapped in a cool swim and a short bike ride this afternoon which has been a refreshing change. Shout out to everyone committed to clocking up the KM’s for RFDS in this widespread heat wave! 👏🤚

Day 11

Walking after it rained is just awesome. The smell of rain, vivid colours, noisy birds and water for Sheila to splash in. Husband always there to keep me on pace. Thanks hun! The build-up is in the air. Hot, moist and lush. I love ticking off the kms. (when I can - still feeling blessed)

Day 9 already

Today we took a brisk walk because the skies were grey and I could hear a bit of rumble in the distance. This also means, build up. Hot. Sticky. Humid. Sweaty. But we did well today. Love God’s creation. We se some beatiful creations along the way. You go Sheila! She is the reason I keep going at it, she has a watch on her paw, seriously, come 6ish, she reminds us it is time to go! Till next time!

Day 6

You can feel the build up! Sheila falls flat on the cold tiles once we get home. And I sweat salt more that usual. Trying to push to 5 kms, by only made it to 4.4. Still too many people around with dogs, which in a way is a good thing, but Sheila prefers to be walking free. so do I. Love the privilege to move, feel healthy and be in the outdoors. Blessed. 🙏🏻

Parkrun saturday

soooo hot! heading for a top of 39 hear today and it was already 31 at 7am!!

Day 1

We started a bit late. so had to rush to get home before dark. and it is getting hot! 29* and 68% humidity. Sheila (dog) and I are hot and accomplished for day 1! it was only the 2 of us today. 🤗👍🏼🐕‍🦺
