Going the Distance for the RFDS ✈️
We’re a group of mates with a pretty big interest in aviation, so when we saw the Oceans to Outback challenge, it seemed like a good excuse to combine that with something worthwhile.
This October, we’re taking on a month-long fitness challenge to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) while also trying to get ourselves a bit healthier along the way.
The RFDS does some pretty incredible work across Australia, helping people in rural and remote communities who can be hours away from the nearest hospital or medical service. And as aviation nerds, we think there’s something pretty cool about the fact that aircraft can be used to bring that care to people who otherwise might not be able to access it.
We’ve set ourselves a goal of 2,000 for the challenge, inspired by the roughly 2,000 usable airstrips that the RFDS can access across Australia.
We’ll be putting in the kilometres throughout October and hopefully raising a decent amount along the way.
If you can spare a few dollars, we’d really appreciate the support. Every donation helps the RFDS keep doing what they do
Thanks for supporting our team! 🇦🇺✈️
