We're fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Coming from a small town in regional Western Australia, we know how hard it can be to access anything, let alone healthcare, especially when it could save your life. This is why Australia has the Royal Flying Doctors, who are always there for you, your family, your friends, and your community when you need it most. They will always come to you whenever you need it most no matter how far from the nearest hospital or healthcare service is.The RFDS has been there for numerous people in our small community, and without them, our town wouldn't be the community it is today.
In September of last year, one of our family members was involved in a serious accident, which could have been fatal. Soon after being rescued, they were airlifted to Jandakot, and then transferred into Royal Perth. Without having the RFDS there, it would have taken hours to get them into Perth to see a specialist to help them. Now they are not the only ones in our town that have had to use them.
This is why our family is taking on this challenge. We set the goal of 700km and $7 500. This is the least we can do to support the RFDS.
